The Shri Subhasish Chakraborty Foundation (SSCF) was established in 2011 with a singular purpose—to serve the elderly who had no one to care for them. What began as a modest initiative with just 18 senior residents in a small home in Bengaluru quickly grew into a beacon of compassion and service. Our early efforts were rooted in providing not just shelter, but warmth, respect, and dignity to the elderly—ensuring they could live their twilight years with peace and purpose.
In 2019, SSCF expanded its mission to include the care and development of underprivileged and orphaned children. Recognizing the urgent need for safe spaces, structured education, and emotional support, we opened the Children’s Care Centre with 9 children. Today, we serve over 37 children and 15 elders in a fully integrated community, offering both generations the opportunity to thrive through intergenerational bonds, structured programs, and unconditional care.
Our journey is a living testament to what’s possible when empathy, action, and vision come together to create lasting change.
“Every child deserves an education. Every elder deserves dignity.
This is not charity—it’s humanity.”
— Shri Subhasish Chakraborty
Our vision is to build a compassionate and inclusive society where every child is empowered to dream, learn, and grow without limitations, and every elder is treated with the dignity and care they so deeply deserve. We aspire to be a transformative force in the lives of the vulnerable—nurturing their potential, uplifting their spirits, and laying the foundation for a better tomorrow.
We envision a world where:
At SSCF, our mission is to provide holistic, lifelong support to both underprivileged children and senior citizens. We believe that care is most meaningful when it addresses the emotional, educational, physical, and social needs of an individual.
Our mission is not merely an organizational statement—it is a commitment to changing lives, one person at a time.
